Health Clearances

Truly ethical breeders place a premium on breeding dogs sound enough to do the job it was bred to do even as they strive to maintain type. Health clearances test for and identify diseases and disorders that can impair or even cause death in our beloved animals.

Some health clearances require x-rays, observation or palpation done by a veterinarian, while others are as simple as a cheek swab. These tests identify a dog as clear or a carrier and are of great importance to anyone considering using a dog in their breeding program.
